Love liver

According to a medical doctor the liver is one of the complex and important organs in your body, and perform heroic tasks everyday to keep you in good health.  It is described as a virtuoso among organs because hundreds of different jobs are done for us by our liver.  You need to adopt a lifestyle that is kind to the liver if we are to live a long and vigorous life says a medical doctor.  Many of the chemical in your body as well as drugs and environmental contaminants pass through the body or are detoxified and discharged into the bile.

What does the liver do

The blending and movement of blood that takes place in the liver is fascinating. Human antibodies which protect you against infectious disease are made in the liver.  One of the most aids in the digestion of fat.  Bile is secreted from the liver and stored in the gall bladder.  Usually after a fatty meal, it spurts out into the lower end of the stomach breaking up the fat globules into water-substances which can easily be digested.

Body Purifier

According to research to be healthy, we need clean water and a food that is as free as possible from chemical contaminants. If the body have no ways of filtering out those chemical, they would keep circulating inside us indefinitely, causing permanent change in our health leading to death.  Studies show that the body has several difficult system for removing them; the intestines, the lungs, the kidneys and even the skin perform such filtering functions. The greater purifier of all is our liver, the thousand enzymes the liver produces give that amazing organ a strong chemical weapon that it uses to neutralize harmful substances.

What does the liver do with alcohol?

The drug that the liver is called upon most frequently to metabolize and flush from the human system is alcohol; but there are limits to the liver's ability to deal with alcohol.  Studies show that the liver converts the alcohol into a chemical called acetaldehyde.  That's where trouble starts.  Acetaldehyde is not good since it can interfere with the activation of vitamins by liver cells.  Furthermore, the conversion of alcohol to acetaldehyde in the liver sets up vicious circle of chemical side effects which continued over a period of time.
